Does Islam Continue Christianity or Contradict It?

Introduction

Islam claims to be the final revelation of God, continuing the faith of Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. However, when we compare Islam and Christianity, we find Islam does not fulfill Christianity—it contradicts it.

This raises an important question: Can Islam be the true continuation of Christianity if it denies its core teachings?

1. Islam Borrows from the Bible but Changes It

The Quran contains many stories also found in the Bible:
Adam & Eve
Noah’s Flood
Abraham’s Sacrifice
Moses & Pharaoh
Jesus’ Miracles

But there’s a major problem: The Quran changes important details.

Biblical Story

Quranic Version

Key Difference

Abraham’s Sacrifice

Abraham sacrifices Isaac

Abraham sacrifices Ishmael

Moses & Pharaoh

Pharaoh drowns

Pharaoh repents at the last moment

Jesus’ Crucifixion

Jesus was crucified

Jesus was not crucified

Jesus’ Miracles

Jesus heals the sick

Jesus creates life (clay birds)

๐Ÿ”น If Islam is truly from God, why does it change past revelations instead of fulfilling them?

๐Ÿ‘‰ A real continuation expands upon past truth—it doesn’t rewrite it.

2. Islam Denies Christianity’s Core Teachings

The biggest contradiction between Christianity and Islam is not in history—but in theology.

A. The Trinity: Affirmed by the Bible, Rejected by Islam

Bible: "Baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)
Quran: "Do not say 'Three'—desist! It is better for you." (Quran 4:171)

B. Jesus’ Divinity: Affirmed by the Bible, Rejected by Islam

Bible: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God." (John 1:1)
Quran: "The Messiah, son of Mary, was only a messenger." (Quran 5:75)

C. The Crucifixion: Affirmed by the Bible, Denied by Islam

Bible: "They crucified Him." (Luke 23:33)
Quran: "They did not kill him, nor did they crucify him—it only appeared so to them." (Quran 4:157)

๐Ÿ”น If Islam truly continues Christianity, why does it reject everything Christianity teaches?

๐Ÿ‘‰ A true revelation doesn’t erase the past—it confirms it.

3. Islam Uses the Bible When Convenient, Then Rejects It

Muslims often quote the Bible to prove Islam, such as:
John 16:13 ("The Spirit of Truth will guide you into all truth.") – Claimed to be Muhammad.
Deuteronomy 18:18 ("I will raise up a prophet like you (Moses).") – Claimed to be Muhammad.

But when the Bible contradicts Islam, Muslims dismiss it as "corrupted."
The Bible says Jesus is God’s Son – Muslims say this was "added."
The Bible says Jesus was crucified – Muslims say it was "changed."

๐Ÿ”น This is inconsistent. If the Bible is corrupted, why quote it as evidence?

๐Ÿ‘‰ You can’t use the Bible to prove Islam and then reject it when it disagrees.

Conclusion: Islam Contradicts Christianity, Not Continues It

Islam claims to be a restoration of true faith, but:
It borrows from the Bible but changes stories.
It denies every key Christian doctrine.
It uses the Bible when convenient, then dismisses it when challenged.

๐Ÿ”น A true continuation builds upon the past—it doesn’t rewrite it.

๐Ÿšจ Final Thought:
"Islam is not a continuation of Christianity—it is a contradiction of it."
